Words & music: Wildman
Written 2009 · Reconstructed 2026 · the closing track of Doomed To Live
Well I want to have somebody near me Someone like you 'Cause I've started to see things more clearly Instead of through Through this fog of my own creation With its twisted perception of human relations It's like I've been out the equation Stuck in my room With your head on the pillow like a stone And your dark eyes this morning And your voice on the phone You could say all I've done I've done out of duty But all of a sudden I've been struck by the beauty Here now That's all we got baby Here now We don't need a lot baby Here now No more than this Here now That's all there is That's all there is That's all we got baby We don't need a lot baby No more than this 'cause that's All there is Here now Here now Here now
Piers wrote this one by hand and posted it — note, CD, lyrics and chords — to make amends for a Park amp sold in 1996. It is the last voice you hear on the record.

The emotional ending of Doomed To Live. After an album full of roads and escape, it turns towards presence and repair instead.
Piers wrote the song in 2009 and sent Gol the original recording on CD. Gol's 2014 rendition was based on that recording and later became the source for both the 2025 Shaken Not Stirred reconstruction and Gol's 2026 Suno rendition. Piers later published his version through the Boscombe Philosophical Orchestra in 2015; that recording became the source for the Oh Yeah reconstruction.
